About Us

Over 25 Years of providing supports and services to the youth of Victoria!

Our Vision

To improve the physical and mental well-being of youth

Our Mission

To provide comprehensive, integrated primary healthcare services including mental health and addiction care, in a youth friendly, non-judgmental and safe environment.

The Victoria Youth Clinic was started in 1998 as a non-profit organization that provided integrated and comprehensive primary health care services, including mental health and addiction care for youth aged 12 to 24 years. In 2017, we became the lead agency of Foundry Victoria and connected with a province-wide network of youth health centers. We have grown to a big team of dedicated and skilled youth-focused professionals that includes doctors, nurses, counselors, outreach workers, peer support workers, and administrative staff.

Our integrated healthcare teams work collaboratively to provide services at the forefront of our community's needs: mental health, substance use, primary care, social services, and peer support. This includes free access to drop-in counselling sessions, art therapy, vaccinations/ STI testing, and referrals to specialists. The Clinic also links youth to a variety of on-site and off-site social services including job training, housing supports, and alternative education.

The Youth Clinic also serves as a community hub for youth with Island Health programs such as Discovery Counselling, Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) Program, Youth Tier 5 program, TransCare BC, and Work BC onsite to provide the services our young people need access to.

Our Supporters

The Victoria Youth Clinic is very grateful to the many people and organizations that have offered so much support and guidance since the clinic was conceived in 1998. Without the help of those listed the youth of Victoria could not benefit from this service.

Thank you all.

While the clinic is supported by government agencies to fund our core mission, the extended care we provide to help our most vulnerable is funded entirely through donations. This includes community outreach, peer support, and family support groups. We need your help to continue this important work!
