Community-led Crisis Response Team (CLCR)

CLCR is a peer-assisted care program and a mobile crisis response team led by persons with lived/living experience and mental health professionals, who are able to de-escalate crises and develop community care plans with persons experiencing crisis. The CLCR Team is an alternate approach to responding to someone in crisis that focuses on health, well-being and community support.

Poison Control Centre

Call if you suspect someone has been poisoned by a medicine, chemical or other substance. Note that this is NOT a substitute for talking with a trained Poison Specialist. If someone is unconscious, having a seizure, difficulty breathing or chest pain, immediately call 9-1-1.

Substance Drug Checking Project

1802 Cook Street, Mon - Sat 12-7pm

A free and confidential drug checking program that uses multiple drug checking instruments to determine a sample's main active ingredients, fillers or cutting agents, any unexpected drugs, and the presence of fentanyl. Provides in-person and mail-in services and results are given on the spot within 15-20 minutes.

CARES Clinic

Single point access to mental health and substance use services for people aged 19+. Provides single session therapy, peer support, outreach and a Rapid Access Addiction clinic for opioid replacement.

Umbrella Society

Supervised Consumption Locations

Safe consumption sites provide:

  • Safe and welcoming drop-in space with harm reduction supports, overdose prevention, survival supplies and food

  • Witnessed consumption for injection for safer drug use and rapid overdose response

  • Referrals and links to other services, including mental health, substance use, primary care, addiction medicine, treatment and recovery options
